An opportunity to spend time reflecting on Good Friday, with music, readings, prayers and meditations.

Our next All Age Service is on Easter Sunday

11am at St John's Church

This month’s theme is:-

Easter : "Jesus is Alive!"

Join us (and detective Sherlock Holmes) as we search for clues helping us to unravel the resurrection.

Parish Bluebell Walk – Saturday 25th April

Please join us for a lovely walk through the woods at Westley Heights to see the beautiful bluebells on

SATURDAY 25th APRIL at 10.00AM

Assembly point:-

St Mary’s Church Car Park, SS16 6HY

A short, flat walk of about 20 minutes and for the more energetic, a longer walk of another 30 minutes.

Tea, coffee, refreshments, cake & biscuits etc will be served at St Mary’s.

Beautiful Believers – Monthly Meditation Evenings – Tuesday 28th April

In 2026 , Beautiful Believers will be hosting our relaxing monthly meditation evenings at St John's Church, Forest Glade, SS16 6RX.

Our next meditation evening is on Tuesday 28th April.

Arrive 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start

The evening is relaxed and informal , consisting of a 30 minute Christian guided meditation in the main hall with tea and coffee served afterwards for a friendly chat in the coffee bar.

Please bring anything that will help with your comfort during the meditation like a pillow, blanket, floor mat etc..

APCM – Annual Parochial Church Meeting – 10th May

NOTICE OF AMP AND APCM ANNUAL MEETINGS – Sunday 10th May 12.30pm

It’s that time of year again! A few things to let you all know about in advance of the Annual meetings

The AMP (election of churchwardens and open to anyone in the Parish) and APCM (PCC/Deanery Synod elections, and review of all reports) will take place at St. John’s immediately after the service on the 10th May. Our Area Dean Jonathan Evens will be chairing the meeting.

The AMP is where we elect our churchwardens – 2 for St Mary’s and 2 for St John’s. We will also be electing PCC and Deanery Synod members during the APCM.

As part of this we will also be refreshing our Church Electoral Roll (our membership list). If you are not currently on the roll, but would like to be, please contact Nikki for a form. They will also be forms left at both churches as well for everything.

The dates of the Church Electoral Roll (CER) revision is between the 12th April and the 25th April.

Youth@StJohn’s – Christmas Social on 7th December

All young people secondary school age and above are welcome to join us at St John's Church, Forest Glade, SS16 6RX

Date  -  Sunday 7th December

Event - Christmas Social

Time  -  From 6.30pm - 8.30pm

What happens ?

There will be sports & games (table tennis, table football, volleyball etc), maybe a Christmas movie, music and quiz plus space for lots of social chat while we enjoy food together.

The food may be chicken pieces, pizza's or hot dogs etc so please do let us know of any food allergies so we can cater for them.

We would love you to join us for our Christmas social. Everyone is friendly and it's a great chance to meet new people, have fun and chat together.

Beautiful Believers – Wine and Wrap Christmas Event – Friday 12th December

Please join us at our Beautiful Believer's Ladies Christmas Event

Date  - Friday 12th December

Time - 7.30pm

Venue - St John's Church, Forest Glade, SS16 6RX 

Festive fun & friendship with mulled wine, mince pies & Christmas cheer.

The Beautiful Believers coming together & wearing our best Christmas Jumpers!

There will be mulled wine and mince pies available but please feel free to bring other snacks and drinks to enjoy while wrapping your presents, chatting & writing cards to the sound of Christmas music. (No food with nuts due to allergies)

Community Christmas Carol Walk – Sat 13th December

Please join us for carol singing and refreshments on our Community Christmas Carol Walk.

We will be meeting at St John's at 10am on Saturday 13th of December, then taking a gentle walk down to the Langdon Nature Discovery Visitor Centre where we will be singing a selection of traditional and well-loved Carols.

If you are driving to the Visitor Centre we should be there at around 10.30am.  Centre SAT NAV code is SS16 6EB

On our return to St John’s there will be a chance to warm up with a hot drink and mince pies.
A great event for family & friends, perfect for getting you into the Christmas spirit!
Please dress up warm (Christmas jumpers and hats definitely encouraged)
Looking forward to seeing you either at St John's or down at the Visitor centre.

St Mary’s Live – Saturday November 16th

With the welcome return of vocalist and entertainer Anne Sherwood.

An evening of popular & seasonal melodies, humour and laughter with plenty of opportunities to join in at this pre Christmas celebration.

Give it a try and bring a cushion maybe!

As usual the concert is FREE with optional donations for wine, tea, coffee & soft drinks plus nibbles welcome.

Bring some friends along to experience this wonderful performance and enjoy a wonderful evening of live entertainment in atmospheric St Mary’s.
