Remembrance Day Service

Remembrance Day Service

St Mary’s Church – 11 November 2018
100 years

Plans are in hand to have an afternoon service in addition to our morning services on that day. This will be our Special Centenary service on the afternoon of 11.11 – 100 years since the date when hostilities formally ended after more than four years of battle during World War I. Uniforms and Poppies will be worn and various tributes offered this Remembrance Sunday.

It is hoped to involve the uniformed organisations and have displays appropriate for the occasion with craft prepared specially by various members and groups.
We would very much appreciate ideas for inclusion in this service, including offers of memorabilia, photos etc.

Please contact The Wardens, Bob or Liz if you have any suggestions or materials we could use to make this a memorable thanksgiving.
Thank you
M. Harris & J. Guppy [Churchwardens]
