These are troubling times which will cause anxiety for many. In his letter to the Philippians Paul writes:
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Most weeks we hear words based on these verses in the blessing. They are not just an idle hope. They are a promise that God’s peace will keep us in tune with Christ if we bring our anxieties to him. Let us claim this promise during this crisis.
The Church of England has published guidance for parishes which will continue to be updated to reflect any change in circumstances. Please publish the link below on your websites and share any Church of England social media posts on the advice.
